MamaCon is a real celebration of motherhood!
For the past five years, MamaCon has created unique, vibrant, dynamic events for moms needing some serious self-care! MamaCon bundles pampering, information and inspiration together to provide moms with powerful strategies for successful living, and moms love it!
The first MamaCon was held in Bellevue in 2012 and over 100 mamas were in attendance. Co-founders Amy Lang and Kim Estes hand-selected ten inspiring and authentic speakers to share stories of their struggles and their strategies to reach parenting success. The day brought howls of laughter and waves of tears as women connected and related and supported each other, making friendships and strengthening the bonds of the MamaCon community. It was magical!
One woman in the audience was so moved by the experience, she just had to be a part of it! Leanne Kabat joined the team in 2013 and worked passionately to help create this magical getaway for mamas. When Amy and Kim decided to step back from MamaCon in 2016, Leanne jumped at the chance to continue MamaCon’s mission to pamper the mom while nurturing the woman.
MamaCon will continue to inspire, encourage and rejuvenate moms by providing top-notch parenting development and education, self-care tips that really work, relationship support, amazing vendors, great food and outstanding entertainment.
More about Leanne
Leanne Kabat has worked with children and families for over 20 years. In her early years in Canada, she worked as an elementary school teacher specializing in media influence and children. Several years later, Leanne and her husband moved to Silicon Valley where she used her journalism degree to make documentary films for Disney (family-friendly) and HBO (not so much!). Leanne and Jack welcomed three children in five years and she decided to stay home. But, as with many stay-at-home mamas, she never stays home! Her three children now attend three different schools and they are thrilled she is digging deeply into MamaCon because they think they can get away with more stuff! She set a life goal to visit 50 countries by the age of 50, and the whole family is happy to go along for the ride.
